Chelsea 2019-2039

The first year of FM20 is Frank Lampard’s first year with Chelsea. He joined the club after leaving Derby County in 2019 and takes charge of the club in which he earned legendary status as a player.

2019 – Lampard’s first trophy as Chelsea boss came in the 2019 European Super Cup as Chelsea beat Liverpool 2-1 with Marcus Alonso and Tammy Abraham scoring the goals.

2023 – Sebastiano Esposito could be considered one of Lampard’s greatest Chelsea signings. The Italian striker, who scored 143 goals in 166 international caps, spent 15 years at the club and left one season before Lampard in 2038. In that time he scored 267 league goals in just under 500 matches.

2024 – Lampard won his first major trophy with Chelsea, lifting the 23/24 Europa League after beating Bayer Leverkusen 3-2. Esposito scored a brace.

2025 – Perhaps the breakthrough year for Lampard’s Chelsea. His side lifted two more major trophies – the FA Cup and the Champions League.

Chelsea beat Arsenal in the final with Esposito being the man to score the winner.

2026 – The 25/26 season saw Chelsea lift the Premier League title for the first time in nine years.

2029 – The final Premier League title under Lampard’s reign came in 2029. This title, Lampard’s third, was the end of the Golden period of Chelsea as only four more trophies were won in the ten years until Lampard’s departure. 16 trophies were won in the first ten years of Lampard’s leadership

chelsea beat leeds2036 – Lampard’s last major honour with Chelsea was the Europa League. Incredibly, in the year of his testimonial, Sebastiano Esposito scored a brace in the final to help Chelsea beat Leeds 2-1.

2039 – Frank Lampard was sacked as Chelsea manager after just over 20 years in charge.

Bayern Munich 2040-2042

2040 – Bayern Munich appointed Lampard as their manager ahead of the 40/41 season. What followed was two years of success.

2041 – In his first year as manager of Bayern, Lampard led the side to a treble, winning the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal Cup and the Champions League. In the final of the CL, Bayern beat Man Utd on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

2042 – Consecutive trebles!! An incredible feat was achieved in 2042 as Bayern again won the treble. This year they beat PSG in the final of the Champions League to secure their second consecutive treble. Frank Lampard left the club after he was approached to manage England.

England and Spain 2042-2045

2042 – England appointed Lampard manager after they lost to Norway in the 3rd Round of the 2042 World Cup. Lampard would go on to lead the nation at the next European Championships but would not fare much better.

2044 – England lost to Italy in the 2nd Round of the 2044 European Championships. Lampard subsequently resigned as a result.

2044 – Just one week after leaving England, Lampard had his second international role – Spain.

2045 – Lampard’s Spain reached the Final of the UEFA Nations League where they would meet Germany. Unfortunately for Lampard, his side lost out on penalties. Lampard would resign from his role as Spain manager just days later.

Arsenal 2045-2048

2045 – Though he wouldn’t know it, Lampard joined Arsenal as his final club in management. At this point, Arsenal had not won the Premier League since 2032 and would be looking for Lampard to propel the club further up the table

2048 – Lampard’s Arsenal finished 4th and 4th in his two full seasons in charge. His lack of league success was compounded by poor displays in the cups, reaching no finals and just the two semi-finals in all competitions over the three year period. Lampard was sacked as manager in April 2048 as his side went on to miss out on Champions League qualification.
