Welcome to the penultimate part of the Manchester United stage of Youth Development. I recently announced plans for my next club in Youth Development on Twitter after running a poll:
In the previous part of Youth Development I ran through the plans for the future of this series. You can read about it here.
Let’s get straight into the updates of our scouted stars at Old Trafford.
16 +1’s including Vision and Decisions
Jens has developed into an astounding deep lying playmaker. Already capped by Germany, the young midfielder has the potential to be a world-class performer.
He made 39 appearances for United in the season just gone, including 34 starts.

7 +1’s including First Touch and Stamina
Due to the formation in which United have employed this year, Francisco has been limited in his game-time. He made just nine starts over the season, a number of them being in an unnatural centre attacking midfield position.
Trincao will be hoping for a change in formation under new management at Old Trafford or he’ll be wanting to be on his way.
7 +1’s including Pace and Composure
-1 Tackling and Positioning
Thomas Buitink has improved slightly, decreasing on a couple of defensive attributes. He too has struggled for first-team game time due to the presence of Facundo Colidio.
Indeed, later on in the season he was sent out on loan to Vit Guimaraes in Portugal where he played 16 matches, scoring 10 goals. He’ll need to really push on if he is to play a part in Man Utd’s future.
18 +1’s including Finishing and Technique
I think it is safe to say that Facundo Colidio will be a huge star in the future of FM. His stats again improved significantly and he also made his debut for Argentina.
Here is Facundo scoring minutes into his debut for Man Utd. A scrappy goal, but satisfying nonetheless. He scored 6 goals in 8 starts (and a handful of substitute appearances) and will hopefully be a part of this United side for years to come.

Thanks for reading the last Scouted post on the Man Utd Youth Development series.
Keep an eye out for any news by following my Twitter, as posted above. I’ll be writing one final post with Manchester United which will look back on all of our players used in the series after 10 in-game years. Thanks again!
